DOES YOUR BATHROOM
LOOK OLDER THAN YOUR HOME?
Your bathroom may still function perfectly well, but an older vanity and countertop, builder grade mirror, medicine cabinet, worn tub or shower, dated tile and hardware can make the room feel older than the rest of your home.
You don’t have to live with everything the builder installed.

REQUEST SERVICEKEEP WHAT STILL WORKS
CHANGE WHAT DATES THE ROOM
The layout may work. The tile may be worth keeping. The vanity may need only a different finish, or replacing the vanity may make more sense.
A bathroom refresh starts by identifying what’s still working, what’s dating the room and what you’d like to change. From there, we can offer recommendations and help you determine which updates can make the biggest difference.
Bathroom Refresh focuses on selected painting, repair and finish updates that improve the room without turning the project into a full bathroom remodel.
SHOULD YOU PAINT THE VANITY
OR REPLACE IT?
A dated vanity can have an outsized effect on how old the bathroom feels.
If the cabinet is in good condition, painting it and updating the hardware can completely change its appearance. Color can also give the vanity more presence in the room rather than leaving it with the builder grade finish it started with.
But not every vanity is worth keeping.
Sometimes replacing it with a new vanity and countertop combination makes more sense than investing in the existing one. We can remove the existing vanity and install the new one as part of the refresh.

CAN LEAVE WORK BEHIND
A large builder grade mirror may have worked when the home was built, but it doesn’t have to remain there forever. Replacing it with a framed round, oval or rectangular mirror can give the vanity area a more updated appearance.
Older medicine cabinets can present a different challenge. Removing a recessed medicine cabinet may leave an opening in the wall that has to be properly repaired before the room can be finished.
We can remove the unwanted cabinet, repair the opening with drywall, finish the repair, match the existing texture where practical, prime and paint the area, then install the new mirror.
The same attention applies when updating towel bars, toilet paper holders and other bathroom hardware. Old mounting locations can leave anchors, holes or damaged areas behind. If the new hardware doesn’t cover them, those areas need to be repaired and finished so the wall looks intentional, not like something was simply moved.
SOME SURFACES CAN BE
GIVEN A SECOND LIFE
An older tub or vanity countertop may still be serviceable even when its color or finish is dating the bathroom.
Resurfacing can give those existing surfaces a dramatically different appearance without automatically replacing them. A dated colored tub and matching vanity top, for example, can be resurfaced in white to create a cleaner, more updated look while allowing the existing fixtures to remain.
In other bathrooms, existing tile may be the element holding the room back. When replacement makes more sense, the old tile can be removed and replaced with a finish that works with the updated room.
We protect the surrounding surfaces, keep the work area organized and clean up as the project progresses.
